17 year-old 'kids'

This maybe the day when I feel youngest this year.

around 30 high school students paid a visit to Oyama NCT this morning.

they were under a homestay programme organized by Kelab Antarabangsa Hiroshima.

they spare a 1hour session for us, and it was really great I must say.

(though at first they made us wait for around 30mins as they were guided around the school.)

they were so... YOUNG, so... CUTE

most of them just finished their form 4, so they're like 17 and i'm 20. 

not such a big gap looking at the numbers but I tell you, it kinda was. haha...

the way they talked, the questions they asked were like yea.. you know when you were a high school student back then. 

the talkative me, of course didn't waste the chance to show my immaturity. haha...

I talked, they asked. 

they stopped asking, I asked, and talked.

in the end, I'm the one talking and they're the one laughing. lol

yeah, it was the case at first.

things went different when we had our lunch together.

I was like a lil boy there being said this that bla bla all the way round man. No kidding they're good at 'shooting' people. high school girls,wat do you expect huh.

the questions they asked changed too of course.

from about college, courses, they were like 

'eh, so you got Japanese girlfriend?'

'why didn't find one? cuter than M'sians eh...'

'you have girlfriend or not?'

'you had girlfriend before?' just before I tried to say my answer, some, 'sure got lar...' lol

then of course, they asked for a photo session together. just in a small group we were split into early.

but it didn't end just like that, for sure.

things were quite fun, 'kids' were very very cute. haha

what a great day.

hmm, until I went back and checked on my camera for the photos. non of them were clear. NON! wtf.

guess I'll just wait for their add in facebook then ask them to send some to me. hopefully they are some kind 'kids' haha.

*just thought of noting down these as soon as possible so that I won't forget. short memory I have. but yea, I'll share the photos one I get'em*

I bet no one would like to attend such colleges. haha.

my first outing to Tokyo since I came back.
attended an event organized by the embassy, a majlis hari raya together with the Malaysian Minister of Tourism, Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen.
venue was a M'sian restaurant, Rasa in Ginza.
the whole thing is, yea so M'sian.
we get to enjoy M'sian cuisine in Japan is like HEAVEN. trust me.
nasi lemak, satay, curry mee was great.
speeches from all the BIG guyz, kay not gonna share anything nor talk about it. don't ask why or whatever sh**. :))
read on Malaysia woos Japanese senior citizens to find out what was shared on the day. reporter from The Star was there too. :)

Yebisu was great, Yebisu Garden Place was marvellous with nice buildings. not those japanese-like ones but european-like ones. :P
luck was on our side as we get to enjoy a beer festival held that day! :))

Got to wear this whenever u buy your first beer there. so that you don't get caught for being young drinkers(?) but they didn't even check when we bought. -.-

it was to decide who is going to throw the plastic cups. siangthye, who DIDN'T even drank went. lol

We then decided to meet up with Agung, an Indonesian Oyama senior of us last year, who is now already a university student. our meeting place was initially Roppongi, once again because I've never been there yet (haha!) but rain was pouring. :(
went all the way to Ueno and it took around 1 hour to decide what to eat. haha.

There's a street named Ameyoko which sells all kinds of things. particularly those u can rarely get from supermarkets. saw mooncakes too, but yea I got some tasty homemade ones u see. :P *thanks mum!!*

Mt. Fuji I Conquer

Hell yeah, I conquered Mt. Fuji man! 

Ha. A lil bit too much? :P

It was an event organized by MSAJ, with 20 something of participation.

Honestly it didn't really felt like an MSAJ's event, maybe have to do better next some other time. 

We gathered at a train station named Kawaguchiko and went up to the 5th station of Mt. Fuji together by bus. Ya, most people start climbing from the 5th station. There we went climbing around half past nine. At first it was like a night walk on top of a mountain. Haha. It was a flat tar road for some distance. Things somehow felt challenging, no like a mount climbing finally, just by going up some rocky path ways. One serious thing that certainly surprised me was that there were thousands of them, like us on the way to the top man! Mt Fuji was seriously CROWDED! 'Traffic jam' all along the way up. We broke up into few small groups and some went cutting Qs (don't worry, it's OK to do so, I guess. :P) and some of us who decided to be in the last group 'protecting' the others from the back. lol

Some of us were just too weak due to lack of exercise got stucked right away before we reached the 6th station. Haha. Brave enough for him to actually got himself til the top in the end. Some idiot we-so-called-BAKA even tried to ring up his mum to inform that he's on the way to the top of Mt. Fuji, while climbing. His call failed, and guess what's next. He's phone actually rang on the way! He just took out his phone and chit-chat with the someone at the other end as if he was just having his evening walk after dinner. WTF.

Honestly, we got pretty bored Q-ing all the way and found that we were way out of the scheduled time to enjoy the sunrise from the top. Me and Ling Cheik (both AJK who supposed to look after the weak ones) went running up. Haha. Trying to find ways to get through the lines, from the left, right and even the middle. FUN. Haha.Not to mention of cause a lil bit dangerous as well.

5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, H8th station, a total of 5 station before we could reach the top and a total of 3.4km if I'm not mistaken. No, you underestimate it as a normal 3.4km marathon run, then you got it wrong. The path way got narrow and narrow from the 8th station and nothing can be done but to QUEUE. Just imagine, you're on top of the mountain, with a bloody shit of crowd around you, cold wind hits your face, and you're moving step by step. HELL. I almost felt asleep when I tried to close my eyes while waiting to get moved. Then, it was the time to get to know who's around you. Haha. You can find grandpaSs and grandchildren all the way along up, of course cute ones too. :P Nah, it wasn't really a time for you to 'scan' for cute chicks as once you have a glance on someone, the flash light on top of your head would shot on that person. Then, you know, that someone knows, everyone know. lol

The stations operate as a pit stop or some kind of resting place for climbers, but just a LIL bit extraordinary. You find pay-toilet outside M'sia, 200yen (RM8) per entrance and it was 300yen (RM12) at the top! I wasted 500yen. >.< Bananas, 200yen for a bunch. Dreaming, for ONE. To future climbers, load your backpack with foodSss.

We past by H8th station, half way to the top. One of us turned around to have a look at the sky at the back and saw it was getting bright! Basically what we saw were just rocks lighten up by our 'head-light' along the way. We got ourselves out from the path way, to the side. Sat on the rocks, on the slopy mountain. I actually got my left foot pushing a rock in front as I was so scared of falling down all the way the slope. Haha. 

So you call it day or night? :)

The 'ah pek' at the right actually sat just right in front of us. Out of a sudden, he turned around and said, 'Keep quiet!!' M'sians talking loudly on Mt. Fuji get scolded. Haha.

We reached the top around 6 in the morning and if you ask me how was it up there? I can't say anything else besides, CROWDED. I quickly went to Q up for the 300yen toilet straight away and we left around 7. The way back wasn't that easy as expected, but at least easier than the way up for sure. Same, we were like snails at first and then started running down the mountain. It wasn't really that tiring but what kept irritating me was my stomach. No idea what got it so pain and just imagine I run all the way from the top til the 6th station until I got myself to the toilet. Haha. 

The climb would be way way way easier, nicer, quicker if there weren't that much people.

Anyway, it was a all around great lifetime experience to conquer the highest mountain in Japan. Never been to Mt. Kinabalu as an M'sian, not even a mount climbing experience before and straight away the top of Japan. To those who wanted but never tried before, give it a go!

extra: Finally, my 2nd summer break! Today was the last class of the first semester in my 4th year. Exam passed a week ago but yet reports kept me busy the whole week until the very lasy day. 

ehmm, honestly speaking, I'm starting to feel hard to express myself in English... @.@

Sleepless night, sleepy daytime, nearly died. lol

あまりにも書く気分無いけど、何か書きたいからこうなるんだ。

 

FOCUS

Here comes Friday, there comes weekend + an extra holiday on Monday, Marine Day. Means we have 3 consecutive holidays! Woots!

Ok, so on Weds our class teacher decided that our class vacation is compulsory for everyone, excluding international student, ME! Ha. Sadly enough it falls during the summer break where I'll be in M'sia that time. Everyone is heading to Hokkaido, 3 days 2 nights for a bloody cost of 50,000yen (rm1800++). That's almost the cost of my flight ticket back to M'sia. Haha.
What surprised me is that a friend of mine, A, who actually planned not to join it got pissed of with another close friend of him, B. Our class teacher decided that if there're anyone who doesn't join it then he's going to cancel the whole trip. After learning about this, A felt sorry for the whole class and decided to join them, yet B is too stuborn or I mean selfish(?). Ok, you don't get the point of me telling about this don't you? Neither I do. lol
Nah, just kinda touched.
A sits at the back row, seldom pay attention in class, comes late and goes back early sometimes yea sometimes, had different colors of hair (I saw grey, gold, brown, red, pink), he got suspended from school for 1 week, my best friend where we share heart-to-heart-talk, stupid jokes, teaching each others' mother tongue, laughing like hell (and some unrelievable ones) during class. He's my kind. I just can't get into the groups of good students. Ha. Wait, don't get me wrong, I don't mean that I'm that bad k. :P

Next, 輪講 another troublesome subject we have next semester. It's sorta like lab work where we do research in groups, a preparation before our individual research in our final year perhaps. Headache about the lab selection. What should the priority be? Theme? Personal Interest? Lecturer? Lab mates? Arh. Someone help me out. :((

Talked with mom on the phoned for about 30 mins and she reminded me of my main PRIORITY coming here to Japan. Ha. OK mummy, I'll remember it now. Don't worry. (But actually, the non-prioritiy ones which kept me going. :P)
Finals are just around the corner. Time does fly. I finished my mid-semester test followed by organizing ASEAN Festival, got myself some rest and here is it, my final.
By the way, why the hell we have 18 subjects, for a final exam, for a college student? Duh.

Ok, it's getting hot, humidity level is rising, that's why I'm typing in the tv room, with the air cooler on. Perhaps I should be more eco? :)

Culture 'not so' shock

 As usual, I went for my bath in ofuro.
As usual, there were juniors inside and they were like greeting here and there. (Juniors MUST greet whenever wherever they meet any seniors here. I mean for those who lives in the domitory.)
Just when I was enjoying rubbing my body *grins* there came a junior and volunteered himself to rub my back. Yea, RUB MY BACK.
Of course I rejected him. Haha.
I didn't felt anything odd about it at first but just realized it's my first time being asked so.

Juniors treat their seniors like king but not the same towards their teachers. I wonder why.

Japan isn't the place where you won't get any culture shock, but the most I suppose.
No worries but I've already got used to it by now. :)
